Nike Canine Add

Nike canine add

For this brief Sof Clements and myself were in charge of casting the models who would be photographed for the task. The people we were looking for had to fit certain age groups and have an appropriate appearance suitable for the brief. We tried to do some street casting at the gym located at west wood cross but that did not go as well as expected. The set location and time of the shoot might not have been suitable for the people we wanted to ask for help. Luckily, sof managed persuade two of her friends to help us with this project. They matched the 18-25 and 35-45 age groups. I asked a model I had worked with before if she could help us and the answer was positive. She matched the 25-35 age group required by the brief and was able to come to the studio on the day of the shoot. Props were provided by Ashley Earl and Clare Rowden. On the day of the shoot all 3 models turned up on time and they did a great job posing. One thing I should have done was removing accessories such as jewelry, ear rings, piercings which distracts the viewer's attention and are not suitable when submitting images for a certain client.

• Sof - Casting
• Ashley - Styling
• Andrada - Casting

Props
2 coloured bones (blue and yellow) will be arriving at 9 am with Ashley, along with a number of sticks. Ashley will also be bringing in some pairs of trainers.
Clare will be bringing 2 more coloured bones, different style, in red and yellow
One of the back-up models will be bringing another pair of trainers, Nike ones.
All other members of the group will aim to bring a pair of trainers in if they have ones which are suitable.

Equipment
Tom has been left in charge of the equipment, and will be collecting this before 9.30am so we have time to set up the whole set. We aim on using David’s own camera, with a 50 mm lens (a 5D has been booked as back-up aswell) the Bowens ring flash (provided by CCCU), backdrops and gel colours over the lights we plan to use. These will be the standard lights available in the studio we have booked – Studio 1.

Models
Andrada and Sof have managed to cast 3 models, and also 2 back-ups!
The main models are 2 males, and 1 female, one from each of the specified age ranges.
We have asked all of the models to arrive at 10am. The studio set up will be fully prepared, so we can the brief each of them as to what is going to happen. This will also allow Ashley as stylist to choose which model will use which prop. It will probably be necessary for each prop to be used with two different models, so the client has choice over which image they want for the final advertisement.
We aim to finish the shoot by 2pm latest.
Gregg - age group: 18-25

 Luke - age group: 35-45

Lindsey - age group: 25-35
